A small French jug with a glassy, speckled toffee finish and potter's rings you can feel under your thumb.

Why We Chose It

Each one was made by Poterie Renault, a Loire Valley pottery founded in 1847 that supplied cafes and hotels all over France. The workshop has since closed, and these pieces turned up unused in an old factory on the grounds of a chateau. Salt tossed into the kiln at full heat gives every jug its own pitted, glossy skin.

How We'd Style It

Fill it with cold water or a few garden stems for The Resolana Table, or pair it with the Carved Clay-Toned Ceramic Pitcher for a mismatched duo that looks planned.
