A thick band of bare clay runs around the rim, and the glaze pools inside it like water in a shallow dish.
Why We Chose It
The raised rim is the whole idea. It keeps sauce, beans and a runny yolk where you put them, and it frames the glaze in a way a flat plate cannot. Each one is thrown by hand, to order, in the same Austin studio as our bowls and mugs, so a full place setting can finally come off one wheel.
How We'd Style It
Set one under the stoneware soup bowl on posole night, or run three or four different glazes down the length of The Santa Fe Table and let nobody match.

Good to Know
Let it come to room temperature before it goes into a hot oven, since a jump straight from the fridge can crack stoneware. Hand-thrown plates vary a little in width and glaze from one to the next. The selector shows which sizes and glazes can be ordered right now.
