Almost no rim at all, just a low soft edge and glaze running clear across, flat and wide as a mesa top.

Why We Chose It

Some dinners want a plate that stays out of the way. This one is wide and nearly flat, with faint throwing rings you only notice when the light comes in low. It is thrown by hand, to order, in Austin, in the same sixteen glazes as our bowls and mugs.

How We'd Style It

Lay it at each place on The Santa Fe Table with a stoneware soup bowl in a neighboring glaze. Sand with turquoise is the one we keep coming back to.

Good to Know

Let it come to room temperature before it goes into a hot oven, since a jump straight from the fridge can crack stoneware. Each plate is thrown by hand, so the edge wanders a little and the size is approximate.
