A hand-carved mug in a matte white glaze with fine ridges that catch the morning light. The glaze is brushed over dark Spanish clay, so the white carries a soft grey warmth instead of a flat gloss.
Why We Chose It
It comes from a small atelier outside Marrakech led by a Maalem, a master craftsman who still teaches the trade. A good mug is the most-used object in the house, and this one feels made rather than manufactured.
How We'd Style It
Pair it with the clay-toned mug for a two-tone cupboard, or hand it to the first person awake with the percolator still going.
