The small plate that does most of the work: toast in the morning, a sandwich at noon, a wedge of cake when someone drops by.
Why We Chose It
It has the same thick clay rim as the dinner plate, scaled down for a light meal or a shared side. The rim gives your thumb something to hold and keeps crumbs and dressing on the plate. Each one is thrown by hand, to order, in Austin, so no two are quite the same width or shade.
How We'd Style It
Nest it on the Fat Rim dinner plate in a second glaze, with a side bowl on top for soup or salsa. The rest of the setting lives in The Santa Fe Table.

Good to Know
Let it come to room temperature before it goes into a hot oven, since a jump straight from the fridge can crack stoneware. Glaze color shifts a little from piece to piece, which is what hand-thrown looks like.
