Why We Chose It

Four weavers, two siblings and their spouses, make these throws in the hills of Otavalo, Ecuador. After weaving, each one is brushed by hand with a teasel plant to raise the alpaca's silky sheen, then pressed with a wooden block and finished with hand-sewn edges.
