Strips of hardwood turned on edge and glued into one block, an inch and a half thick. The stripes are the structure, not decoration.

Why We Chose It

Edge grain is the classic butcher block build: flatter and tougher than a plain board, lighter and lower maintenance than end grain. Large enough for real prep, it still lifts to the sink. Built to order in cherry, maple or walnut.
